The Government of British Columbia is providing $6.5M in grants over three years for caribou habitat restoration.
- The Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation’s (HCTF) Caribou Habitat Restoration Fund will administer the funding.
- Projects will focus on restoring habitat through functional and ecological approaches, such as planting trees, spreading coarse woody debris, installing fences, and encouraging native plants and trees.
- Funding is available to First Nations, government, industry and nonprofits.
- The deadline is Nov. 1.
