California Awards $10M in Social Equity Marijuana Grants

California’s Bureau of Cannabis Control has awarded $10M in equity grant funding to ten cities, including Los Angeles and Oakland, to support their social equity programs. These programs help people and communities negatively or disproportionately impacted by cannabis criminalization.

Awards are as follows:

  • City of Los Angeles $1.83M
  • City of Oakland $1.66M
  • County of Humboldt $1.34M
  • City & County of San Francisco $1.34M
  • City of Sacramento $1.2M
  • City of Long Beach $914k
  • City of San Jose $560k
  • County of Santa Cruz $560k
  • City of Coachella $500k
  • City of Palm Springs $100k
