The Government of Nova Scotia is now accepting applications for green infrastructure projects that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under the Climate Change Mitigation substream of the federal Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
What is the Climate Change Mitigation Substream?
This program supports projects for public use that increase renewable energy, access to clean energy transportation, energy efficiency in buildings, and clean energy generation. Projects or a grouping of projects should have costs above $1 million to be eligible and should be completed by October 2027.
Who can apply?
Communities, local governments, businesses, First Nations, and nonprofits are eligible.
What is the deadline?
The deadline to apply is Sept. 9.
