Fundingportal helping industry succeed under the massive Broadband Fund

Fundingportal is partnering with industry to help businesses succeed under the CRTC’s Broadband Fund by offering informational webinars on the new fund, as well as targeted services for applicants.

Last month, the CRTC opened its second call for applications under its massive $750M Broadband Fund. The program will fund projects that improve broadband access across Canada by building or upgrading access and transport broadband infrastructure or mobile wireless networks.

Since the announcement was made, many businesses have reached out to Fundingportal to guide them through the application process through grant writing or advisory services. Several organizations and industry groups have also reached out to seek joint informational webinars on the fund for their members.

As such, Fundingportal CEO Teri Kirk will be a keynote speaker on the subject at several upcoming industry events and will also host a number of webinars for the telecom industry. These events will help businesses scrambling to meet the March 27th deadline to prepare winning applications under the fund in record time.

Kirk is a former Vice President of Business Development from one of Canada’s leading telecommunications companies, and brings deep expertise in grants funding for the industry.

The Fundingportal team has other strong leaders from the sector to draw on, including Glenn O’Farrell, former President and CEO of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters, and an advisor to the Honourable Caroline Mulroney on economic development for francophone communities; and Joanne MacDonald, who has recently retired as a Vice President within CTV News.
