The Government of Manitoba is now accepting applications under its Urban and Hometown Green Teamgrant program.

- Funding will help organizations hire youth between the ages of 15 and 29 for summer jobs.
- The projects must take place between May 1 and Aug. 31.
- The program is split into two streams: Urban (Winnipeg) and Hometown (all other municipalities).
- Nonprofits and municipalities are eligible to apply.
- Priority is given to child and youth recreation and volunteer projects, as well as projects that hire Indigenous youth, visible minority youth and youth with disabilities, and projects located in northern Manitoba.
- Nonprofits receive 100% of wage costs and $250 per position for support costs.
- Municipal governments receive 50% of wage costs and $125 per position for support costs, on a cost-shared basis.
- The deadline to apply is Jan. 22.
