Who got government funding this week

Funding for the week of July 2, 2018 under Canadian federal and provincial grants and business incentive programs reached $419.9M, down from $459.5M during the previous week.

Top Sector. The transportation sector ranked first this week, attracting $118.2M, 28% of total incentives.

Top Region. Québec is the top province this week, securing $151.3M and accounting for 36% of total national disbursements.

Top Recipients in Ontario.

  • The Canadian Grapevine Certification Network (CGCN) in Niagara receives $8.4M under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership’s AgriScience Clusters.
  • The Port of Thunder Bay receives $7.5M under the National Trade Corridors Fund to help businesses compete by moving goods to market, and by making improvements to port infrastructure.
  • Science North in Sudbury receives $1.67M from FedNor to modernize the fourth floor of the science centre.
