Who Got Government Grants this Week

Funding for the week of March 25 under Canadian federal and provincial grants and business incentive programs reached $566.4M, up from $167M during the previous week.

Top Sector. The municipal and nonprofit sector ranked first, attracting $469.7M, 83% of total incentives.

Top Region. Ontario is the top province this week, securing $227.2M and accounting for 40% of total national disbursements.

Top Recipients in Ontario.

  • The Corporation of the City of Markham receives $48.64M under the Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF).
  • The Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough gets $10M from the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund to construct a new facility.
  •  Lake of the Woods Brewing Company in Kenora attracts $1M from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation to setup an additional brewing facility.
